What are superfoods and tonic herbs?

Superfoods are those foods that have amazing nutritional and healing properties. A lot of the time they've been used for centuries by traditional cultures. These are foods that you can include in your daily diet to improve your health, fight disease, and make you feel great in general. Some are detoxing, some give you energy, and some are fantastic antioxidants.

Tonic Herbs are dual-directional, nutrient and mineral rich plants which have been used in many traditional cultures as healing foods.

Below we have created two charts to help take the confusion away. Start supplementing with the most beneficial superfoods/tonics for your body.

HEALTH BENEFITS PREPARATIONS
Ashitaba  Is a traditional Japanese healing food consumed for beauty and longevity.  It is a rich source of vitamin b12, skin and digestive tonic.
It tastes great in teas, lattes, shakes, raw chocolates and miso soup.
Ashwagandha  Is one of the most powerful herbs in Ayurvedic healing, has been used since ancient times for a wide variety of conditions, and is most well-known for its restorative benefits. Ashwagandha can help alleviate stress, fatigue, lack of energy and difficulty concentrating. It can support an energetic and rejuvenating sense of wellbeing.

It is best in warm tea, raw milk potions, raw chocolates, shakes and smoothies.

Astragalus Is known as the great protector from Yunnan Province, China.   It is  used  to help with aging, improve energy, and stimulate the immune system during conditions such as the common cold, blood disorders, cancer and HIV/AIDS. Its great in warm water or tea.
He Shou Wu He Shou Wu is a traditional Taoist herb and Jing tonic. It has been used for centuries in China. Tonify and nourish the hair, skin and nails. It can also strengthen the nervous system, sexual center, shen (spirit) and jing (primary essence/life force). Use 2 grams in warm water or tea.
Cordyceps  Cordyceps is a fungus that lives on certain caterpillars in the high mountain regions of China. It is known to support mental power, athletic endurance, sexual energy, muscle tone and immune support. Use ½ teaspoon, once or twice a day and tastes great in soups, teas, smoothies
Reishi  It is commonly known as Ling Zhi in Chinese, a herbal mushroom known to have miraculous health benefits. It can help with immune support, longevity and stress relief.  Reishi is also used to help treat anxiety, high blood pressure, hepatitis, bronchitis, insomnia, and asthma. Enjoy in tea or warm water.
Chaga  Is known as the king healer mushroom, a powerful adaptogen, and has been used in traditional Chinese and a Japanese medicine for centuries. A strong source of energy, promotes overall well-being and a rich source of vitamin d.
Best enjoyed in tea.
Rhodiola A Tibetan Qi Tonic, it is wildcrafted in Tibet. It is sometimes called Arctic root or golden root, is considered an adaptogenic herb, meaning that it acts in non-specific ways to increase resistance to stress, without disturbing normal biological functions. This is known to promote mental clarity, creativity and stamina, helps immune strength and may support weight balance and focus.
Use 2 grams in warm water or tea.
Triphala An Ayurvedic digestive tonic, consisting of three fruits native to the Indian subcontinent: Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki.
It is an excellent source of vitamin c and antioxidants, good for gentle, internal cleansing and may support regulatory and weight balance.

Enjoy ½ teaspoon at night in warm water.
Pine Pollen Its known as a longevity tonic, entering all five meridians and offering dual-directional hormone support.
Known to help hormonal support, regulate weight by supporting the metabolism, support and detoxify the liver and may improve endurance.
Tastes great by itself, in milk potions, and in smoothies.

Anandamide Anandamide is a raw heirloom cacao and tonic herb blend, we call it bliss alchemy because it is named after the cannabinoid neurotransmitter anandamide, with Ananda meaning blissful upon eating. Green Adaptogen

A blend of Suma, Maca and Chlorella.
