The Very Best Makeup Products for Your Skin

Makeup is an art form, a representation of individuality and freedom of expression. It is used to correct flaws and to enhance the natural beauty of a person which helps an individual in presenting themselves in society with confidence.

It's easy to get overwhelmed when there are so many different cosmetic products and formulations to select from, as well as the ongoing changes in design and trends. We can attain the look we want and get the most out of our makeup as long as we understand the basics and know what each product can genuinely do for us.

Types of Makeup

Primer Foundation Concealer

Powder Blush Contour

Bronzer Highlighter

Highlighter

A light-reflecting makeup product that makes the high points of the face pop and stands out more. It's frequently applied on the cupid's bow, cheekbones, temples, brow bone, bridge, and the tip of the nose.

A highlighter is used to draw attention to a feature by making it stand out. It looks great when used with blush because the two colors complement each other. If you want to add a little additional glow to your complexion without adding another step to your routine, a sparkly blush is a great option because it adds color and also reflects light on the cheeks.

Picking the best highlighter formula for your skin type is crucial.

For Oily Skin, stick with powder highlighters as cream and liquid formulas could move around.

For Dry Skin, it typically fares better with creams and liquid since these formulae diffuse rough or uneven texture on the skin.

For those who have Combination Skin, any formula could work since it still depends on ones personal preference.

How to apply a highlighter?

When applying a cream or liquid highlighter, use a makeup sponge to blend. Avoid using the sweeping motion as it causes streakiness. For the best result, dampen the sponge and then squeeze out any excess liquid before applying the highlighter. For Powder highlighter, use a soft fluffy brush and apply it with a light sweeping motion. If you accidentally applied too much product, grab a clean makeup brush and buff out excess product, or add a bit of concealer (for cream and liquid) and pressed powder (for powder formulas) over the top.
